Pegasus

It is said that when Pegasus sprang from the head of Medusa he flew direct to Corinth.  However, attracted by the image of a white horse carved on a barren hill, he discovered the fallen Icarus in a valley from which there was no way out. 

 

That evening as the light faded from the landscape Pegasus took Icarus on his back and flew with him to a twilight place safe from his enemy, the sun.
